PSNI ANNOUNCES IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY OF THE SNAP IMM LINK FOR THE STATE OF WEST VIRGINIA

West Virginia school districts can seamlessly import student immunization records into their SNAP Health Center EHR from West Virginia Statewide Immunization Information System (WVSIIS)

AMHERST, NH – 3/28/2024– PSNI, the nation’s leading provider of school nurse electronic health record (EHR) software, today announced the immediate availability of the company’s SNAP Imm Link solution for the state of West Virginia. The SNAP Imm Link allows school districts using the SNAP Health Center to import the most current student immunization information the West Virginia State Immunization Information System (WVSIIS).  This is a huge advantage to schools who can now process their required immunization compliance in just moments.  Without this feature, schools must contact parents and/or medical providers to get immunization records manually, a time-consuming process that can result in incomplete records.

With the addition of West Virginia, PSNI’s SNAP Imm Link now interfaces with 36 state immunization registries. “Tracking down immunization information and calculating each student’s compliance is a little-seen activity of the school nurse,” said Jennifer Norton MSN, RN, NCSN, PSNI’s Nursing Informatics Manager “Ensuring immunization compliance contributes to student health. The SNAP Imm Link saves time for school nurses time and provides access to all student immunization history data in minutes.”

Founded by a school nurse, SNAP Health Center is best-known for its nurse-centric design.  “We focus on providing nurses with the tools they need to work. Nurses tell us all the time how great it is to use tools designed by nurses,” continued Norton. “For example, a tool like SNAP Immunization Link can reduce the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases. We’re very proud to release SNAP Imm Link for West Virginia and look forward to adding more states in the near future.”
