Jennifer Norton, MSN, RN, NCSNManager of Training and Clinical InformaticsJennifer has been a nurse for 28 years after starting her career as an EMT. Her nursing career has included emergency room and trauma care as well as over 15 years as a school nurse in rural, suburban, and urban settings. She has been very active in nursing education as a teaching assistant, research assistant, instructor, and clinical preceptor for several colleges and universities. Jennifer has been a longtime member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Nurses and Practitioners (PA SNAP) and NASN, as well as a Focus on the Framework national presenter. When Jennifer is not supporting School Nurses, you will most likely find her in her garden. |
Bonnie MacAdams, BSN, RN, NCSNTraining and Clinical InformaticsBonnie has been a dedicated registered nurse since 2012. With a robust background spanning various nursing roles, she has extensive experience in school nursing, medical/surgical care, home health, and camp nursing. Committed to maintaining the highest standards in nursing, she upholds her national certification in school nursing and works part-time as a Medical-Surgical-Orthopedic Nurse at her local hospital. Bonnie holds a BSN from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and is pursuing an MSN in Nursing Informatics from Jacksonville University. A Disney enthusiast, she enjoys visiting Disney World with her family and walking her dogs on the beach. |
Kim Garrett, BSN, RN, LSN, NCSNTraining and Clinical InformaticsKim has been a nurse for over 25 years. She has served in a variety of healthcare roles including Trauma Center Nurse, Senior Quality Consultant, Clinical Research Coordinator, and most recently for 8 years as the Director of Health Services and School Nurse for a PK – 12 school system. She has served as a mentor to several school nurses and as an energetic CPR trainer to many school and community members. Kim passionately pursues opportunities to improve care coordination and clinical outcomes for students and productivity and job satisfaction for school nurses. |
Victoria Parris, BSN, RNTraining and Clinical InformaticsVictoria has been a nurse for over 14 years with a wide range of clinical experience including early childhood, primary care, women’s health, acute care, and home health. As a nurse, she has worked with a variety of EHR platforms and was a pivotal member of several EHR conversions from one system to another. She continued to develop her EHR skills as a superuser which allowed her to further develop her informatics skills and knowledge. During her nursing career, she has also worked as an educator, preceptor, and vaccine program coordinator. She has a passion for learning and teaching others. In her free time, you will likely find her spending time with her husband and children, reading, baking, or knitting! |
Ryan McCloskey, BATrainer and Instructional Support SpecialistIn one way or another, Ryan has been involved with education for over 20 years. He has trained health practitioners across the country to successfully use EHR software platforms, worked as a nursing practicum placement coordinator for an R1 university, and worked with disabled youth to increase their skill sets with a focus on entering the workforce. By creating curriculum and instructional materials, Ryan supports and builds upon the successes of the SNAP Clinical Informatics team. From time to time, he also has the privilege of providing training to school nurses and administrators as well! Ryan can be found in his kayak, behind a drum set, or hidden between the pages of a good book. |
